The Chennai based brand of clothing is somewhat which has specialised in menswear since the time they were founded. The chairperson of the company Mr. Rajgopal has said that quite a research has been poured before the company entering the footwear market and thus the footwear have been designed keeping in mind the younger generation and the target is to cater to the needs of the younger generation so that the company is able to capture the markets of the footwear section and make it one of the biggest companies in the lifestyle section.
The line of footwear is carefully designed to compliment our clothes and there are at least 3-4 colours which vary in the same design so there are options for the customers in the very same design if they do not like that particular colour. The footwear will match the style of the younger generation and company has spent somewhat 8 crores in designing and inventory of the footwear before finally entering the market battlefield. The products by the company are put in the price range of about 2000 or 2500 up till 5000 INR.
The owners have dubbed it as a test of how the brand is performing when it goes head on with its competitors on a totally new turf. The designing advisor of the company Mateo Zara, who is an Italian designer has advised the brand on many aspects not only the designing but also on the branding where he advised them to make an emotional connect to their origins. The company has always stood for that and they are a desi brand with a global audience and they have always connected to their Madrasi roots, even their denims say old Madras denim company and now their footwear will have the old Madras leather style.
